1988 Renown pursuit

1988 Renown pursuit

Description

This bike was built for renowned Kiwi racer, Alan Hood. Alan had been a part owner of Laurie Dawe Cycles in Christchurch, and Rebown is another brand that wa built in the famous shop. If you look closely, you may see that the decal design has been ‘borrowed’ from another famous brand …..Rossin. This bike at frat glance appears to be quite a mismatch of parts, but it was all done with a purpose. Being a champion time triallist, Alan built the bike with the lightest parts available at the time. Hence you will see Mavic cranks, Shimano RX100 rear derailleur, Shimano 105 front derailleur, Shimano 105 brake calipers….the bike often raced with a Campagnolo Khamsin rear disc wheel.
