Do bikes come any wilder than this? This crazy design actually originated in Mountainbikes, not road bikes. The steel frame is joined on the top tube with a fibreglass plate, and features a steel wire instead of a down tube. The idea is that it allows the frame to flex, this being more comfortable. In keeping with the nature of the bike, I have used a few items in the build that you don’t often see. The Zipp 650c Carbon wheels are fairly ‘normal’, but there are gripshifter changers on the ends of the handlebars, aero Mavic brake levers, a set of lightweight Topline cranks, a spider saddle, cnc brake calipers, and a CNC precision rear derailleur.
