This is a somewhat iconic disc wheel. The Cinelli brand is known world wide, with their disc wheels a,d bike frames highly sought after. This wheel was used by New Zealand’s Madonna Harris to win a silver medal at the world cycling champs in Japan, 1990. Madonna is the only New Zealand woman to have competed in both the winter and summer Olympic Games.She won the gold medal in the individual pursuit at the 1990 Commonwealth Games on her MONTAGNER Bike (which we have in the collection.
